Our Mission is to raise up disciples of Christ & Leaders of the Church through the Ministry of Word and Sacrament.
Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM) is an active ministry on the University of Minnesota, Morris campus. Every Thursday evening at 6:30 pm we host Dollar Dinner.
On Sunday nights at 7 pm we will be reading and discussing the book Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran pastor and associated with the plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler by the Germany Military Intelligence Office. He was arrested in April 1943 by the Gestapo, imprisoned for 1 1/2 years, and then placed in a Nazi concentration camp, and after a very brief and bias trial was executed by hanging; just two weeks before Allied forces liberated the camp and three weeks before Hitler's suicide. Bonhoeffer's book Life Together is a inspiring account of his fellowship that took place while in a underground seminary. It gives practical advice on how to life together in Christ can be sustained in families and groups.
Following the book study at 8 pm is our student lead worship. Whether you are Lutheran or not, exploring your faith, want to take a break from studying to sing songs, be contemplative, or socialize, you are welcome to join!
We also participate other special events. This month on September 26th we will be at Faith Lutheran Church in Morris assisting in packing the Lutheran World Relief truck and of course being feed coffee and pie. We hope to see you there!! It will be form 7:30 am till 9 am.
